Residents even reached out to KTVO to ask how this is happening and why Sheriff Eldon Grissom and his administration tolerate it.

GREEN CITY, Mo. — There are new developments in the David Fields vs. City of Green City lawsuit. On March 17, 2024, the Green City Board of Aldermen impeached and removed Fields from his position as mayor. The board cited misfeasance, malfeasance, and nonfeasance as reasons for the removal. Fields proceeded to sue the city, and court documents say he accused the board of committing six errors while removing him from office.

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — In the last eight days, we've learned that both Northeast Regional Medical Center and Hannibal Regional Healthcare System are moving forward with bringing radiation cancer treatment back to Kirksville. Northeast Regional bought a used linear accelerator and hopes to resume service in the spring of next year. Hannibal Regional applied for a Certificate of Need (CON), which the Missouri Facilities Review Committee approved on Tuesday.

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Some concerned Adair County community members reached out to KTVO following leaked security camera footage from inside the Adair County Jail. We have received messages from residents to look into this video and how some of this inmate behavior is tolerated. The video inside the Adair County Jail, showing inmates riding a book cart down a staircase was shared with KTVO on August 10. A concerned resident showed us the video that was posted on a social media group page this summer.

MILAN, Mo. — Sullivan County community members got the chance to see some of the newest plans for the Roy Blunt Reservoir Tuesday night. The discussion was centered around recreation and the community. "We're years out, and I think that timeline works really well to plan for recreation and to get people's input early on in the process rather than to wait too late," said Ashely Newson, a community planner for the National Park Services' RTCA program.
