TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Elisabeth is a sweet girl with a contagious spark. She is what many would call a social butterfly. She likes to create her own happiness wherever she goes. Being a goofy girly girl at heart, she loves everything pink and artsy. “Because I like to paint and color and draw,” Elisabeth shares. Her energy and curiosity are contagious. In our time with her, we learned she loves animals. Squirrels and dogs are among her favorite.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Soft-spoken and kind, Sammy holds the most pure heart within. Permanency Specialist Amber Anderson shares it’s hard not to grow fond of this bright 12-year-old. “Matthew is one of those kids that will take your heart real quick,” Anderson shares. Sammy, who likes to go by Mathew, has many interests. Many involving sports and the outdoors. “I like to run around, skip rocks on ponds. I also like to umm...ride bikes,” Sammy says.

Whitehouse, Texas (KLTV) - Mothers all over the nation will be celebrated for Mother’s Day. The title of “mom” is one that Amanda Black has carried for many East Texas children. In 2014, her family embarked on the journey of becoming a foster family. It’s been a ride that’s brought about many hellos and many hard goodbyes. “Umm, it’s never fun to do that pack up. And packing up their boxes and their suitcases; it’s always hard,” Amanda says.
