DENVER — Colorado Bureau of Investigation officials on Friday issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert for a teen last seen in Denver on a day prior. Navaeh Nightcrawler, 16, was last seen on foot in the 4200 block of North Shoshone St. in Denver. The girl has brown hair and eyes, measures 5-feet, 5-inches all and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She is affiliated with the Cheyenne and Arapahoe tribes. If seen, call 911 or the Denver Police Department at (720) 913-2000.

LOVELAND, Colo. — A Loveland man accused of shoplifting a grocery store earlier this week is facing several charges after allegedly assaulting an officer when he tried to avoid arrest. Officers with the Loveland Police Department responded to the shoplifting report at the Safeway on Cleveland Avenue after an employee at the store told dispatch the man threatened to kill one of the employees after being confronted.

AURORA, Colo. — East Middle School in Aurora was placed on an hourlong lockdown late Thursday afternoon following reports of shots fired in the area, according to an official with the city’s police department. The shots were heard near the intersection of 13th Avenue and Fraser Street at around 3:30 p.m., per a social media post on X. Out of an abundance of caution, school officials placed the campus on lockdown. No injuries have been reported so far, the official said.
CSP investigating vehicle vandalism at Colorado State Capitol, but lawmakers apparently not targeted

DENVER – State patrol troopers said two instances of vehicle vandalism this week at the Colorado State Capitol were random and the Colorado lawmakers whose property was damaged do not appear to be targets, but they are nonetheless investigating. The CSP was alerted of the damage done to a vehicle belonging to Rep. Sean Camacho, D-Denver, at around 9:36 a.m. The vehicle – a 2022 Rivian SUV – had a broken windshield from a rock being thrown through it.
