The winner of a £6 million home on the Norfolk coast is still waiting to receive the keys while unresolved planning breaches hold up the transfer. Vicky Curtis-Cresswell said winning the luxury property in Blakeney three months ago in an Omaze competition had "changed her life forever". Her plans to sell the multi-million pound mansion are in limbo after an investigation revealed the Larkfields property has been built differently from the approved plans.

More saltmarshes should be created in Norfolk, experts have said, after a landmark study found the landscape could be crucial in the fight against climate change and pollution. A probe by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has found the vast coastal wetlands on the north Norfolk coast and in The Wash act as “significant” carbon sinks. In response, the conservation charity estimates that 22,000 hectares of saltmarsh should be created urgently, much of which could be made in Norfolk.

Austen Moore has been elected to represent North Lynn at West Norfolk Council with nearly 50pc of the vote. While Jacqueline Fry has narrowly snatched victory from her Liberal Democrat rival in Fairstead by just 14 votes to become the first woman to be elected for the party in Norfolk. It means Reform now has four seats at West Norfolk Council, which is controlled by a coalition of independents, Greens and Liberal Democrats.
