SARANAC LAKE — After a disappointing 2023 campaign, the Saranac Lake football team made it a point to prove that they aren’t the same squad as they were last year in its home opener game against the Massena Raiders. In a gritty matchup in the pouring rain, the host Red Storm defeated the Raiders 18-14, snapping its seven game losing streak. The Saranac Lake football team showed its resiliency late in the contest with essentially a game-winning drive.
