As they cleaned up outside their homes Thursday, they saw a real estate agent arrive to show the house at 212 E. 141st Place to a potential buyer. LINCOLN PARK — Butch McGuire’s, the popular Irish saloon that’s been a Division Street staple for more than 60 years, is planning to expand with a second location in Lincoln Park, according to state records and a Crain’s article. A business license was recently filed with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office under “Butch McGuire’s Lincoln Park LLC” for 2249 N. Lincoln Ave., signaling the family-owned bar’s possible move into the neighborhood.

LINCOLN PARK — A pilot project aiming to curb Lincoln Park’s rat population with peanut butter-flavored contraceptive pellets — while ditching the use of poison — is set to launch this summer. The trial will test a non-toxic form of rat birth control in targeted parts of the neighborhood and is part of a growing effort to shift away from traditional rodenticides, which advocates say are both ineffective and harmful to birds and other urban wildlife.
