BUFFALO — The Skaneateles boys hockey team has become accustomed to celebrating on the LECOM Harborcenter ice, but Sunday’s festivities meant just a little bit more. “We made history,” coach Mitch Major said as his team celebrated a 3-0 win over Ogdensburg Free Academy. “We’re the first to do it.”“It” is winning three straight Division II state titles, a feat the Lakers accomplished thanks to timely scoring and a 22-save performance from senior goalie Danny Angelina.

BUFFALO — Queensbury took its best swing, but that wasn’t enough to unseat the defending Division II boys hockey state champions in a season that exceeded all expectations. But Sunday afternoon, the Spartans found themselves tied with Skaneateles in the second period of the state title game at the Harborcenter.
