According to the city, fellow firefighters provided assistance on scene and then authorities took the firefighter to a local hospital. The firefighter was initially critical, but stable condition. Then Tuesday evening Joplin Fire say, “we are very blessed to report he is recovering and doing well.”We are told the male firefighter suffered a significant cardiac event.
