CLEVELAND (WJW) — Authorities are investigating after an officer-involved shooting left a suspect dead outside the Staples on West 117th Street in Cleveland on Wednesday afternoon. The officer-involved shooting, first reported by the FOX 8 I-Team, happened around 4:30 p.m. while officers with a Homeland Security Investigations and Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission task force were conducting a narcotics investigation.

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Video released to the FOX 8 I-Team shows dirt bikes taking over Cleveland streets even as cars gathered for a street takeover. Street takeovers have become a chronic problem. So, we investigated what police are doing about it. On Sunday evening, an officer said over police radio, “there’s about 30 dirt bikes going northbound.”Neighborhood security video captured dirt bike riders doing wheelies, zooming up sidewalks, and generally taking over Lorain Road.

CLEVELAND (WJW) – The FOX 8 I-Team has found two former police supervisors hit with charges accused of stealing overtime. Both men worked as lieutenants for the Tri-C Police. Cuyahoga County prosecutors said both men collected about $15,000 in overtime pay they didn’t really earn. Thursday, Ronald Wynne went to court to begin facing a charge of grand theft. Earlier, the same charge had been filed against Alliston Moreland.

CLEVELAND — The FOX 8 I-Team has uncovered more of what is happening now with the Cleveland Browns‘ plan for an enclosed stadium project in Brook Park, long before construction. Some lawmakers in the Statehouse just gave the project momentum with the first big vote on public money for the project. The House approved a proposal that would give the Browns $600 million — money issued through bonds for the project. “We’re very excited,” said Brook Park Mayor Ed Orcutt.
