MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -A Madison chef is bringing his Midwest flare to TV’s newest high-pressure cooking competition. Jake Lawler, Vintage Brewing Company executive chef, will be making his television debut on “Yes, Chef!” Monday, April 28. Lawler is one of 12 chefs, battling for a cash prize of $250,000. The scoop is that each chef was nominated by someone close to them because of a distinct pattern of behavior.

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) -A dealership in Janesville is cleaning up shattered glass early Tuesday after it was broken into overnight. Two window panels of the exterior building at Frank Boucher Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Janesville on Milton Avenue can be seen visibly smashed in. It wasn’t until someone with the car dealer arrived for work just before 7a.m. that a report was first made according to Rock County Communications.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The person who died following a shooting Sunday in Evansville has been identified by her family as a 14-year-old girl. WMTV spoke with the father of Florencia Henthorn over the phone early Tuesday. Authorities have yet to formally identify a victim in the shooting that happened just before 9:15 a.m. Sunday from the 300 block of South Madison Street in Evansville. A GoFundMe has been established to help the Henthorn’s pay for funeral expenses.

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WMTV) -Lake Delton police are investigating after an early morning burglary from the U.S. Cellular store in Wisconsin Dells. According to Sauk County Communications, police were called to the storefront at 69 Commerce St. at approximately 2a.m., Tuesday. We are working to learn how many people were involved or the extend of merchandise taken. Police are no longer on scene as of 4:31a.m.This is a developing story, check back for updates.
