SUPERIOR — The Superior School Board approved across-the-board wage increases for the 2025-26 school year of 2%. WASCOTT — A 44-year-old man who fell through the ice on the Minong flowage while rescuing his dogs was pulled to shore by members of the Wascott Volunteer Fire Department on Friday, April 11. Daniel Houck was very cold and near unconsciousness as he was transported to Essentia Health in Duluth, according to a report by Sgt. Jake Engelman with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
