    SHIPPENSBURG — Clearfield’s Brady Collins added more hardware to his collection of state medals Saturday at the PIAA Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg University. Collins, a three-time state medalist in wrestling and a medalist (7th in the 300 hurdles) at last year’s state track meet, added three more at the 2025 Class 3A edition. He took sixth in the 110 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles and placed eighth in the 100 meter dash.

    DUBOIS — Addison Siple fired a 1-hit shutout and Natalie Wischuck gave her all the run support she needed with an RBI double in the first inning as the top-seeded Curwensville softball team blanked Northern Potter 7-0 in the District 9 Class A semifinals Friday afternoon at Heindl Field. Siple took a no-hitter into the seventh inning when Lady Panther cleanup hitter Kayla Hyde recorded a leadoff single for her team’s only hit. But Siple got a groundout and two strikeouts to end it.

    BROOKVILLE — Led by Manners Award winner Brady Collins, the Clearfield track and field team won seven titles Friday at the District 9 Class 3A Championships at Brookville High School. Collins won four events, setting new school and meet records in all of them, while also claiming a pair of facility records. Bison Kai Lynch and Lady Bison Haley Custaney also won D-9 titles in record-setting fashion.

    WILLIAMSBURG — Curwensville’s Addison Siple hit two home runs and tossed the first inning of a Mercy Rule-shortened, no-hitter Monday afternoon in a 19-0 drubbing of Williamsburg. Siple belted a 2-run homer in the Lady Tide’s 10-run first-inning then blasted a grand slam in her team’s 8-run second.
