The census is lowercase, unless it's used as part of the formal U.S. Census Bureau. Don't write that someone is an accused murderer. And better to use representative than congressman or congresswoman. Those are just a few examples.

MASSILLON – If a Monopoly board game for downtown Massillon unfolded, you'd see that a handful of people or entities own a healthy chunk of the properties. There are nearly 100 buildings within the city's historic district, which runs from about Tremont Avenue SE north to North Avenue NE, and over to First Street NW to Third Street NE, according to a list of downtown property owners compiled by the city last fall. Most buildings went up in the late 1800s or early 1900s.

The 2023 Ohio Associated Press Media Editors competition awards were announced Sunday at Villa Milano in Columbus. The contest honors the best print and broadcast journalism throughout the state.
