    Massillon City Council approved the bidding process June 16 for a University Drive SE repaving effort. The estimated $330,000 project is expected to start later this year. About 1,600 feet of University Drive SE is to be improved from Nave Road SE to Malone Avenue SE.     Construction and weather issues delayed the opening of the Jake Roberson Memorial Splashpad in Massillon. The building of the splash pad is in its final phase. The water play area should be open to the public by the end of June. MASSILLON – A new, long-awaited public splash pad is nearly ready. Work on the Jake Roberson Memorial Splashpad is winding down at Wampler Park, 1818 Main Ave. W.
