Detectives in the Bronx are investigating the tragic discovery of a mother and her 8-year-old child who were found dead inside a residence Friday night. The horrific find occurred at about 8:26 p.m. on April 18, when officers from the 47th Precinct were called to a home on the 600 block of East 231st Street in Wakefield. A man was violently stabbed to death inside a Manhattan public housing complex just before midnight Friday evening, police reported. Law enforcement sources said the killing happened inside the Frederick Douglass Houses at 140 West 104th St. on the Upper West Side at about 11:57 p.m. on April 18.
