(WSYR-TV) — The 33-year-old registered sex offender accused of raping a girl in the woods off Bear Road in the Town of Clay is now charged with abusing a third victim to make child pornography. Ryan Pontello, initially registered as a sex offender in 2011, was arrested June 9, 2025 on accusations he used candy to lure a child from a playground into the woods and raped her.

    VILLAGE OF NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Update at 1 p.m. on 6-5-25: The new trash totes have arrived in North Syracuse. Mayor Gary Butterfield said 5,000 carts arrived the morning of June 5. Crews will now spend the next few days delivering the new totes to neighbors, so they have them in time before next week’s trash pickup.
