Several months ago, three run-down, vacant buildings were demolished to make way for a new Starbucks. Stephen Case with Acropolis Realty Group said they originally wanted to build a mixed-use building with apartments, but Starbucks reached out, and they were able to strike a deal.

If you know about Jelly Bun Month and Moon Madness, then you’re familiar with Holland Farms, just outside of Utica in Yorkville. The owner of Holland Farms, Heather Potrzeba, confirms they are opening up its second location, inside the closed Café Kubal. The unique looking building is located at the Highbridge Road/Fayette Street split.

ONEIDA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — You ask, we answer! Viewer Question: A flame can be spotted coming out of a pipe in Oneida. What’s burning? This flame can be seen on Union Street, across from the Oneida Indian Nation’s Village of White Pines housing community. Madison County posted on Facebook, telling people not to be alarmed. A flaring operation is being performed by National Grid. The post says the control burn of natural gas may be visible and noisy.

SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — You ask, we answer!Viewer Question: When will the new Salina Starbucks off 7th North Street open? You won’t be waiting long to try Onondaga County’s newest Starbucks location. Developer Carmen Emmi Jr. said he’s been told by the coffee chain that they’re hoping to open by the end of the month, possibly by April 29. Emmi cautioned that it’s likely a soft target rather than a hard opening date.
