Daily Diner owner, Mark Bullis, said the new location will open Monday, June 2nd. It will be open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bullis said the new Salina spot will be a bigger version of their Manlius diner, located in the Limestone Commons Plaza off West Seneca Turnpike.

The Sweetheart Corner sign, located at the intersection of Taft Road and Route 11, has been standing since the early 1950s. Tom Gelsomin said the sign was put up at the intersection when his family opened Sweetheart Market. Before the supermarket, the family ran a custard shop, where they made sweetheart ice cream.

Neighbors who contacted us and those posting online said they were surprised when their trash and recycling bins were picked up this week and driven away by Syracuse Trash Haulers.
