Developer revitalizing Pine Bluff one house at a time

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KATV) — A program working to revitalize parts of Pine Bluff just finished its first home. The developers behind the project tell us the house took five months to build. They plan on putting up even more before the year ends, changing Pine Bluff to one block, one home, and one neighborhood at a time. The staging takes place inside while crews pour concrete outside. Axios reported in 2021 that Arkansas had about 60,000 undocumented people living and working in the state. KATV had a conversation with an American citizen who has Hispanic immigrant parents. He agreed to talk with us if we didn't show his identity.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KATV) — The city of Pine Bluff is celebrating a significant milestone. It took many people working together for years to pull it off, and city leaders tell us they're just getting started. Circuit Judge Earnest Brown Jr. says that in 2022, the City of Pine Bluff saw five juvenile homicides. In 2023, that number nearly doubled to 9. But in 2024, Judge Brown says one program reduced that number to one. "We are thankful, grateful. We thank God.

"There was a bunch of people trying to get the right to spin, and they would get it almost halfway down, and then it would go right back up to the very top, with my kids still upside down. So I'm panicking. My partner's panicking," said Allyson Metzger.
