My parents took me to Miki on South First Avenue every now and again for a special night in downtown. I felt fancy eating eel nigiri. As a student, I would visit Sushi Town off Packard Street once a week to fill up on vegetable tempura. To my uneducated palate, they were basically Japanese fried vegetable French fries.

ANN ARBOR, MI - Santa Ono said he came to the University of Michigan to rebuilt trust in the institution. He is now gone after less than three years. Ono, 62, announced Sunday he will step down as president and intends to take the same job at the University of Florida. He expects to assume that role this summer, he announced in a May 4 release through his UM office.

Ono was chosen as the sole finalist for the same position at the University of Florida. He expects to assume that role this summer, he announced in a May 4 release through his UM office.
