Just 36 holes stand between Colgate golfer Robby Herzig — and a chance to compete at the U.S. Open. A few weeks ago, Colgate’s Robby Herzig played in the first round of the U.S. Open qualifying at Shaker Ridge in Albany. The members of the Syracuse Men's Lacrosse team can hold their heads high knowing they have shown consistent improvement over the past few years. However, the chase for a title will have to wait until next season, as Maryland knocked off SU in the NCAA semifinal 14-8. In year one of the Gary Gait era, the team went 4-10. In year two, that record increased to 8-7. Last season, the team went 12-6 and got knocked off i the quarterfinal game against Denver.

SU Men's Lacrosse likes a "one game at a time" mentality. Why is that? It goes back to the expectations put on the team early on. "All these expectations were put on the players and the team, and we lost focus of 'the next game is the most important game'," Coach Gait said. https://t.co/jOAM4DW82e
