LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) - An 18-year-old has been charged with the murder of a 15-year-old girl who was found stabbed to death earlier this month. Louisville Police said Isabella Verbaere was found stabbed several times on March 1. Isabella died before she could be taken to the hospital. Officers later detained 18-year-old Kaden Seviour and he was charged with murder. According to an arrest citation, a witness told police that she had heard Seviour and Isabella in the bedroom.

CORYDON, Ind. (WAVE/Gray News) - A man in Indiana has been arrested after police said he posted death threats towards Elon Musk on X, formerly known as Twitter. The social media platform has been owned by Musk since 2022. The Indiana State Police said Texas authorities contacted them Tuesday and told them 28-year-old David Cherry had threatened Musk on social media earlier in February. An investigation then found Cherry in Clarksville, Indiana where he was reportedly arrested without incident.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville police have confirmed that two officers and a suspect have been taken to the hospital after being shot during an incident in the Smoketown Jackson neighborhood on Tuesday, Nov. 19. LMPD said the incident began around 8 p.m. in the 400 block of Roselane Street when police stopped a stolen vehicle with several people inside.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police are investigating after a man was killed in Franklin County Saturday, Nov. 9. KSP said they were called to the area of Flat Creek Road around 10 p.m. on a report of an altercation between Justin Girtley, 36, and Steven Girtley. There, they found Justin Girtley shot. He died before he could be taken to the hospital. Troopers said Steven Girtley had fled into a wooded area near the house where the shooting happened.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) - Five people were arrested on Monday after a child was found locked inside of a cage, according to police in Kentucky. Detectives in Carrollton were working on a previous tip when they found the child in the 700 block of 7th Street. Police said they found the boy, who is under the age of 3 years old, in a wooden and metal enclosure that was padlocked. Detectives secured the area and executed a search warrant of the property.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Two people are dead and one is in the hospital after a crash in Adair County Friday. Kentucky State Police said the wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. on KY 55. An initial investigation showed 74-year-old Linda Young of Jamestown was driving south when she crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car. Young and her passenger, 45-year-old Chris Young, died at the scene. The driver of the other car was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) - Four people were injured when a small plane struck a car before crashing onto a road in Kentucky. St. Matthew’s police said the crash happened at Breckinridge Lane and Kresge Way around 6:30 p.m. Friday. Officials said the plane lost power as it was trying to land at Bowman Field. Rick Tonin, with St. Matthew’s Fire, said the plane then began looking for “wide, flat surface to land” and came down near the intersection.
