A Yorkshire man has been awarded £5,000 after he lost two teeth. Allen Ambridge, a 75-year-old ex-RAF photographer from Bingley, was awarded the four figure sum by his former long-term dentists. The payment was awarded after decay went untreated for years, resulting in the avoidable loss of two teeth in the immediate future. It has also caused him to suffer from bouts of depression which has affected his everyday life.

Traffic has been building up on the M62 in West Yorkshire this morning. A vehicle had broken on the eastbound carriageway from J26 M606 junction 1 at Chain Bar to junction 27 M621 at Gildersome. All lanes have now been reopened after a vehicle was reportedly broken down. Traffic data site Inrix said: "Slow traffic due to earlier broken down vehicle on M62 Eastbound from J26 M606 J1 (Chain Bar) to J27 M621 (Gildersome).

Police are searching for a man sporting a tattoo of a cross and tribal pattern on his left arm following a burglary in Huddersfield. Christopher Collins, 39, is wanted in connection with the burglary which occurred in the Marsh area on May 31. He has links with Huddersfield and Holmfirth.

A 55-year-old biker has tragically died following a horrific crash with a lorry on the A1M in South Yorkshire today. The crash happened on the southbound carriageway, near Blyth, at about 5.45am earlier this morning (Wednesday, June 18). A red Kawasaki motorbike was hit by a lorry between junction 35 and 34. Yorkshire Ambulance Service crews rushed to the scene and the man was taken to hospital. Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died at hospital.
