Plans have been submitted to change an office block at Cork's Docklands into residential accommodation for International Protection Applicants. An application has been made to An Bord Pleanála to use The Cube building, a modern office block on the Monahan Road, for temporary housing for hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers.

Aherne's Townhouse and Seafood Bar is back up for sale in Youghal. It was first put on the market in 2022 with an asking of €2 million, which was slashed to €1.35 million in 2023 and has now dropped to €990,000 in its latest renewal.

Repairs are to begin at a historic bridge that was partially damaged after being crashed into at high speed last year. Cork City Council have confirmed that crews will start to fix the wall at Parliament Bridge on Monday. Part of the bridge wall was knocked into the Lee after a car attempting to take a sharp turn collided with it in the early hours of the morning of May 15, 2024. Two people were treated at CUH for their injuries.
