    2/22/25Sports – The Lady Warriors took on the Baldwin Bravettes Saturday afternoon in the Sweet 16 round of GHSA State Playoff Action. The Lady Warriors were on the defensive against Baldwin early in the first period, knocking down shots back to back but the larger size of the Bravettes would prove difficult and the quarter would end, 18-12, Baldwin. White County took the lead in a huge play by Emma Lightsey halfway through the second period.

    2/18/25Sports – White County Lady Warriors took on the Bainbridge Lady Bear Cats at home Tuesday night to begin State Tournament action. It was White Out Night at Warrior Court in Cleveland as the Lady Warriors came out fast with 2 steals, jumping into an early lead in the first 60 seconds of play. Lady Warriors were on the defensive attack throughout the first half of play and never let up, 50-14 Warriors at half.

    Eloise Reed, age 77, of Buford, Georgia formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Mrs. Reed was born on August 17, 1947 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late John Lewis and Helen Purdy Vinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Mark “Tony” Reed. Eloise was employed with Vinson Industrial Products where she served as the Accounting Manager. She was a member of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church.

    2/15/25Sports – White County Lady Warriors took on the Pickens Dragonettes in the Region 6AAA Championship Saturday night in Jasper. In a standing-room-only crowd, The Warriors came out strong and fast with some back-to-back 3s in the first period giving them a 2-point lead into the second quarter. In a game of back and forth, The Dragonettes would make a big move tying the game twice in the second but it would not be enough and The Warriors would take the half, 34-32, Warriors.
