SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Anyone who has purchased Gyro Family Kits from Sprouts locations is being urged to throw them out after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for them Tuesday. The affected food is labeled as follows:Gyro Family Kit (UPC 20594800000; Use by Dates 12/29/24-01/07/25) packaged in plastic trays with clear plastic lids. Cucumbers within the gyro tzatziki sauce could have been potentially contaminated with salmonella.

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Anyone flying from Salt Lake City to Casper, Wyo., will now have no choice but to accept a layover in Denver, Colo., after Delta Airlines ended direct flights this week. Delta Spokesperson Alex Koehlke confirmed to ABC4.com that their last flight to Casper was on Dec. 3. Travelers at Salt Lake International Airport will only be able to get to Casper via United Airlines now, which does not offer a direct flight. Skywest had been operating the flight on Delta’s behalf.

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Salt Lake City Police have responded to East High after what appear to be false reports of an active shooter at the school. Public Information Officer Brent Weisberg said that as of 11:08 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the school and found there was no signs of any shooting.

(WHTM) – One Park City eatery has been named as one of the top restaurants in America in OpenTable’s annual Top 100 list. Yuki Yama, rated 4.8 stars on OpenTable, was Utah’s only appearance on this year’s list. The restaurant is known for its traditional Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, maki and other Asian dishes. The annual list is intended to showcase the most sought-after dining destinations from the past year, as decided by reviewers and restaurant data.
