JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Monday’s first-round game of the District 6 Class 2A softball tournament at Richland Elementary School had the makings of a redemption story for fourth-seeded Richland. The hosts, who had fallen in 11 innings May 1 at Bellwood-Antis, plated four runs over the first two stanzas in their rematch with the Blue Devils, and held a three-run lead heading into the sixth.
