A Birmingham native retired in 2008 with an overall record of 377-129-4. Coach Bowden’s impact spanned far beyond the field as he developed personal relationships with players and coaches alike.

LEEDS, Ala. (WBRC) - The Leeds High School Pride of the Green Wave is all about character, along with playing some great music. The band is under the direction of Chip Wise for a 16th year. “We just want to make sure Beethoven sounds like Beethoven and The Beatles sound like the Beatles,” said Wise. But this is a challenging show and, so far, the kids have stepped up to that challenge and is doing everything the right way and with great character.

(WBRC) - There’s only one thing that matters when the Center Point High School Marching Eagles Band hit the field and that is the show. “We are a show style marching band,” said Center Point HS band director Mark Hatten, Sr. “We are going to perform and we are going to get the crowd involved because that is what marching band is all about. We work for the moment and this group has done whatever it takes.”The Marching Eagles is made up of 104 members under the leadership Hatten.
