    Feeding the ball to the football guys Monday fueled Papillion-La Vista’s 47-45 upset of No. 2-ranked Omaha Westview in the championship game of the District A-2 basketball tournament.     LINCOLN — A swimming career that didn’t begin until Mason Zadina arrived at Millard South ended with the budding star being named the most valuable swimmer of the boys state meet. Zadina won the gold medal in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly before adding another school record in his final swim as a Patriot. The UNO recruit first won the 50 free in 20.37 seconds, just 0.01 seconds slower than his time in Friday’s prelims.

Christiansen included a friendly reminder during a team dinner Friday. “We just approached today, every single event, every single heat, every single relay leg had to come through,” Christiansen said.
