Wichita Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News Open Streets offers people the opportunity to walk, jog, ride a bike or scooter, and "really connect with the community." Wu says the next Open Streets ICT will be in May in the Nomar neighborhood, blocking off west 21st street. At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will consider giving $40 thousand to Wichita Festivals Inc.

Ground-breaking Wednesday at noon for the new regional mental health hospital at Meridian and MacArthur in southwest Wichita. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News local and state officials will attend the ceremony. Baty calls it "a seismic generational deal for our community". It's a $110 million project, a state-run hospital, 104 beds, desperately needed "not just for our region but for out state".

At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will concentrate on the Fire Department. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News will discuss equipment upgrades including trucks and radios, a total of $8.2 million. The Council will also talk about a $1.5 million design fee to replace two fire stations and build a new one in District 4 in southwest Wichita. The Council will discuss the groundwater contamination site at 29th and Grove.

Tonight (Tuesday) Wichita's Exploration Place celebrates its 25th year in operation. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News "there's a lot of movement" around the science museumas a 25 million-dollar expansion begins. Baty says Sedgwick County assets include Exploration Place, the Sedgwick County Zoo, and Intrust Bank Arena, and they are "very important to quality of life". Baty commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the morning on KNSS.

Since I'm on my 4th pair on Cloudventures, you must be doing something right .@on_running, but the redesign of the tongue is not working. Every time I put these new ones on, the tongue gets pushed down, it bunches up, and then makes the shoes too tight. Minor flaw, big impact.
Hey .@Delta - the auto response on your Twitter DMs refers customers to your website chat function. That is not helpful when the people manning the chat can't figure out how to help. And, yes, I've tried multiple times. Help? Like from a human?
