GRAND ISLAND, Neb — Food pantry shelves have been restocked after they ran bare but at Hope Harbor in Grand Island the need remains. “This was full here and it’s gone.” Staff members point to a wall of food that disappeared in days. The community food pantry has struggled to meet demand. “It would get full and by the end of the day it was barebones and that was happening daily,” Jennifer Figueroa said. Hope Harbor put out a call and the community responded.
