That's according to Georgia Labor Commissioner Bruce Thompson, who announced on Wednesday that Georgia's January unemployment rate was 3.1 percent. It marks the first drop in over a year after holding at 3.2 percent throughout the entire 2023 calendar year.

Authorites have posted a Mattie's Call Alert for 61-year old Lynn McEntire Biegeleisen of Everly Way in Gainesville. She was last seen at around midnight from late Tuesday into early Wednesday morning.

Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of a rollover crash that left the unidentified female driver injured along a ravine on Crane Mill Road at around 5:30 p.m. Monday evening.
