CHICAGO (WLS) -- The world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research is underway at Soldier Field. Thousands will step off Saturday on this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's. It's all part of the Alzheimer's Association's commitment to ending the disease that affects 55 million people worldwide. The event is held annually in more than 600 community nationwide, calling on all ages and abilities to join the ifght against the disease.

This week, ABC7's Tanja Babich visited Chicago's Southwest Side to tell the story of a literal homemade business. Chef Jonathan Zaragoza started cooking meals for his family when he was 9-years-old. Jonathan's mother, Norma Zaragoza, would say "quítame a este niño de la cocina!" Which in Spanish translates to "get that kid out of the kitchen."Zaragoza's family is from La Barca, Jalisco, México.

ABC7's Tanja Babich traveled to southwest Michigan to learn how Chef Joe Frillman's story is truly farm-to-table. "I grew up on a farm," Frillman said, "It's, kind of, unincorporated Buffalo Grove and then the town kind of built up around the property that, uh, we grew up on."Now Frillman went back to his farm roots to his brother Tim's southwest Michigan farm.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- This week, Tanja sat down with South Side chef Erick Williams. Williams has won nearly every accolade for the soul food he dishes up at Virtue. It's not only his cooking that feeds his soul. "My cooking with my grandmother was part of my beginning," Williams said. "It was the balm for everything."Williams grew up on Chicago's West Side in Lawndale. "I came from a rough environment," he explained. "I mean, in terms of community."It was family and faith that ultimately guided his path.
