WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) - A man faces multiple charges following a weekend fight in West Point. The West Point Police Department arrested Brian Turnipseed, 33, on Monday morning, April 14. The fight happened on Saturday night at a house on Calhoun Street. He allegedly hit a man over the head with a garden tool. Police charged him with assault with a weapon and resisting arrest. HODGES, Ala. (WTVA) - An ATV wreck in northwest Alabama injured two girls. Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver said the wreck happened on Sunday night, April 13 along Brooke Drive in Hodges. VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) - One person is dead following a late-night shooting in Verona. Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green identified the dead victim as Christopher Young. She said the shooting happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 on ABC Avenue. A law enforcement source - not the Verona Police Department - told WTVA 9 News that a vehicle passed by a barbeque get-together and someone shot Young and another individual.
