A 19-year-old Fall River man on Monday was found guilty of the attempted homicide of a Beaver Dam girl after he drove over and seriously injured her in the parking lot of Beaver Dam's Walmart in 2022. Dylan Lenz entered a no contest plea to a felony count of first-degree attempted homicide with the use of a dangerous weapon, as part of a plea agreement that dropped the additional charges against him.

Learning to drive, a mishap at a game and just making it through. Commencement speakers had a lot of memories to share Sunday during the Beaver Dam High School graduation ceremony. The class of 2025 had 279 graduating students. Valedictorians, who achieved a 4.0 grade point average, were Josiah Barnes, Addison Dowe, Emma Le Duc, Joy Mielke, Colten Reissmann and Easton Warden. Jeffrey Freund is the salutatorian.

The Dodge County Historical Society couldn’t have found a better day for its annual Ghost Story Festival: Friday the 13th. The event, held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on June 13, kicks off this year’s Wisconsin Arts & Peony Festival weekend with some notable additions — including paranormal expert Chad Lewis. The stage will be behind the Dodge County Historical Society Museum, 105 Park Ave. Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs.
