Marinero Lounge in Ipswich has announced it will open on July 2. Previously, signs have been seen outside the former Burton Son and Sanders building in St Peter's Dock, advertising its arrival in the summer. There was hopes it was going to open before Christmas but the opening date was pushed back.

For a 17 day period, the Ipswich Funpark will be pitching up on the Recreation Ground in Alderman Road. Jason Pilbury, who lives off Nacton Road, has to cycle every morning on Bishops Hill. He said, however, that the potholes on the road have become so bad that he fears cycling on them altogether.

Trespass in Ipswich town centre could close permanently (Image: Newsquest) An Ipswich town centre shop has suggested it will be shutting permanently towards the end of the year after signs announcing its closure were put up. Trespass in Westgate Street has put up signs in its windows stating it is closing down and that everything must go. Previously, in March, signs in the outdoor clothing shop had stated it was closing temporarily for refurbishment.
