Chloe Hickman was in Westminster on Thursday to hand in a petition she started following her mum Louise's death, calling for a new law - 'Louise's Law' - which would make it mandatory for doctors and other medics to get a second opinion on benign tumours. In June last year, Miss Hickman's mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, five years after doctors initially thought it was a benign cyst, misdiagnosing her. She died aged 47 on June 26, 2024.

Charlie Britton, from Harkstead, and Jaden Perkins, from Ipswich, decided they wanted to attend their school prom in style. The 16-year-olds, who attended Holbrook Academy, thought it would be memorable to arrive in a tank - with sibling rivalry part of the motivation behind the idea. Hank's will open its doors from 12pm on Tuesday next week in its new premises in The Walk and Thoroughfare. The owners, Elora Timms and Shaun Warner, announced they were moving location in May, one year after taking over the vegan business which was situated in St Helen's Street. On becoming part of The Walk, the duo said: "After running Hank's for a year the opportunity came up to move to the thoroughfare and we took it.

Jack Abbott said he will "continue to campaign" for a Northern Bypass as the A12, A14, Ipswich and smaller villages have all come to a standstill in recent days due to the ongoing work on the Orwell Bridge. One lane was closed earlier this week on the eastbound carriageway with National Highways carrying out repairs, while one lane on the westbound carriageway is to close on Thursday.

This week, I took a trip down to the Farmhouse in Kesgrave with some friends for a spot of food and a drink. I am a big fan of this pub - it's really popular with Kesgrave residents and those living in Ipswich. It's easy to get to, having its own entrance off a roundabout to its car park. The night I went, on Wednesday, June 18, I was expecting it to be busy due to the lovely weather, but on arriving, I had underestimated just how busy.
