Marinero Lounge in Ipswich has announced it will open on July 2. Previously, signs have been seen outside the former Burton Son and Sanders building in St Peter's Dock, advertising its arrival in the summer. There was hopes it was going to open before Christmas but the opening date was pushed back.

    Funpark is returning to Ipswich (Image: Sarah Lucy Brown/Archant) Ipswich is once again set to host the popular Funpark in Alderman Road for two weeks over the school half-term break. For a 17 day period, the Ipswich Funpark will be pitching up on the Recreation Ground in Alderman Road. The park will open from Friday, May 16 and run until Sunday, June 1, with a variety of rides and attractions.

Bright Sparks Nursery in Stoke Park Drive opened in 1984 but, if they don't get three more trust members by June 2, they will be forced to close.

Jason Pilbury, who lives off Nacton Road, has to cycle every morning on Bishops Hill. He said, however, that the potholes on the road have become so bad that he fears cycling on them altogether.
