MARTINSBURG – Since 1995, Elizabeth and John Hostler have been running Greensburg Bed and Biscuit, a local business offering training and boarding for dogs and cats based in Martinsburg. They’re celebrating the business’s 30th anniversary this year, as well as the addition of a new building to their facility. When they first started the business, they ran it out of a very small house with an 11-run boarding area behind it.

MARTINSBURG – A team of over a dozen volunteers and workers from Martinsburg’s Stormwater Management team came together to help clean up a section of the Tuscarora Creek on Saturday morning, fishing litter and other large items from the riverbed. The project was part of a statewide initiative called ‘Make it Shine,’ where groups across the state host cleanups and sites in their communities.

MARTINSBURG - Over a dozen local agencies lined the inside of St. John’s Lutheran Church on Saturday as part of a Community Baby Expo hosted by the Monarch Family Support Center for Berkeley County. Saturday’s expo was the third put on by Monarch, an effort they started to connect new parents with resources throughout the community.

MARTINSBURG – Just last month, the plans for Berkeley County’s first data center were approved by the Berkeley County Planning Commission during a public hearing, utilizing three parcels in Kearneysville that were sold last year. The 300-acre property is located north of Charles Town Road, east of Schuman Boulevard and west of Hospice Lane.
