WHITEHOUSE, Texas (KETK)– After two years of partnership, CampV and Starbrite Therapeutic Equestrian Center has helped many veterans cope with mental health issues. “If you’ve got a problem, the horse knows it and the horse connects,” participant Kitty Pool said. The class is designed to help military members heal with horses began with a handful of veterans and their families. Starbrite said 50% of their riders are veterans.

JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KETK) — With the May 3 elections being less than 24 hours away, the city of Jacksonville is asking some voters to create a municipal development district, which would help generate more sales tax, according to the city. “As a way of generating additional sales tax revenue to reinject into the MDD for the purposes of economic development,” City of Jacksonville City Manager James Hubbard said.
