WHITEHOUSE, Texas (KETK)– After two years of partnership, CampV and Starbrite Therapeutic Equestrian Center has helped many veterans cope with mental health issues. “If you’ve got a problem, the horse knows it and the horse connects,” participant Kitty Pool said. The class is designed to help military members heal with horses began with a handful of veterans and their families. Starbrite said 50% of their riders are veterans.

FRANKSTON, Texas (KETK)- The National Weather Service confirms an EF0 tornado caused significant damage in the city of Frankston. “I see trees on the house, I see a tree on the road, a garage, and a driveway,” Grimes Tree & Land Services foreman Pedro Mancia said. NWS: EF-0 tornado strikes Anderson County amid severe East Texas weather on Tuesday Everyone was thankful the damage from the storm wasn’t worse.

House Bill 46 and Senate Bill 1505 will allow licensed companies like Texas Original, a medical cannabis provider in Austin, to store prescriptions at satellite locations.

Leading them to add a second day to the event for 2025. “We heard a lot from the community, of you know, they missed it on Saturday, they still wanted to attend,” CampV executive director Travis Gladhill said. The airshow also received attention from the International Council of Air Shows, an organization in charge of some of the biggest airshow acts in the country.

LINDALE, Texas (KETK)- In a historic move for Texas, the $1 billion school choice bill, SB 2, was approved recently. The decision left some of East Texas districts such as Lindale Independent School District, disappointed. “They call it school choice, but it’s really not school choice, it’s a voucher to give money, most of the money, whatever it ends up being, 60, 70, 80% or higher, to students already in private school,” Lindale ISD superintendent Stan Surratt said.
