ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - It’s obvious when you arrive at Seavey’s IdidaRide Dog Sled Tour that it’s going to be unique: dog sledding through lush, dense rainforest wasn’t on my bucket list, but I kind of think it should have been. The tour is interesting and educational, particularly to visitors from outside of Alaska who might not be familiar with dog sledding and the annual Iditarod sled dog race.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - We arrived at Alaska Helicopter Tours in Seward for our Bear Glacier and Lagoon tour in plenty of time to get our safety briefing and meet our pilot, Brian Kloese. ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Planting season is upon us, and if you haven’t put in your potatoes, it’s time. I know of four ways to grow potatoes, and I’ve tried them all. Traditional planting is putting the tuber in the ground and mounding soil on top. Harvesting involves a treasure hunt, digging through the garden to find where the potatoes might have grown (it’s honestly kind of fun). There’s also the “lazy way” to grow potatoes.
