Sitka, Alaska (KTUU) - Friends of the Sheldon Jackson Museum in Sitka are asking for the community’s help after they lost funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) on Friday. According to Melissa Fouse, President of the Friends of the Sheldon Jackson Museum Board, the grant funding cut had come after the funding had already been approved. “We applied for the grant and then we got a letter saying that this no longer comported with the administration’s priorities,” Fouse said.
