The 43-year-old is accused of having possession of a firearm or imitation firearm without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. He is also said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and possessed a controlled drug on May 10. He made no plea or declaration at the hearing and was committed for further examination and released on bail.

Police attended the scene in West Clyde Street just before 2pm on Saturday, May 10 after a report of someone seen with what appeared to be a firearm. A 43-year-old man was arrested and held to appear in Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.

He then moved to Scotland where he was caught again distributing images, in Helensburgh, months after his release.
