    UPPER MICHIGAN, Mich. (WLUC) - The Michigan DNR has appealed the Goss v. DNR case for a third time still challenging its governmental immunity. In May, we told you Mark Goss crashed into a DNR ranger while snowmobiling near Sault Ste. Marie in 2018. The DNR ranger was on a four-wheeler and pulled out in front of Goss, causing a fiery crash. The crash killed the DNR officer and left Goss badly burned, including the loss of his hands and fingers.

    MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - A U.P. suicide prevention group in western Marquette County is changing its name. West End Suicide Prevention is rebranding as LIVE Suicide Prevention. The group says this better reflects its mission and values. Great Lakes Recovery Center Grant Coordinator Carly Sandstrom says the group decided to change the logo after some peoples’ confusion about its purpose. She hopes the new name will help you better connect with its services and feel more supported.
