    DENISON, Iowa (KCAU) — A federal judge has issued a temporary injunction to stop the Trump Administration from eliminating the Job Corps, a training program for low-income people. This comes after a couple hundred students at the Denison Job Corps were told their facility was shutting down nearly a week ago. Ryan Dunker has attended the Denison Job Corps for nearly a year, working on becoming a pharmacy technician, saying the program was a second chance for him and many others.

    LE MARS, Iowa (KCAU) — After decades of being empty, a former university dormitory in Le Mars is set to be demolished this year. Westmar University closed down in November of 1997, after over a hundred years of teaching. While many campus buildings were repurposed, Centennial Hall, a student dormitory, has been vacant for several decades. The city sold the dormitory in 2012 and in 2024 repurchased it, and plans to demolish it due to its dilapidated state.
