SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Following closing arguments, a Woodbury County jury will resume its deliberations Wednesday in the murder trial of a South Sioux City man accused of killing a man from Sioux City. Yasin Abdi, 22, is charged with first-degree murder in the deadly 2023 shooting of Marlon White Eyes, 36. A judge announced at 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 that a verdict wouldn’t be made in his case that night.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — No one was injured but a garage was lost after a grass fire spread Thursday afternoon. Sergeant Bluff Fire & Rescue Fire Chief Anthony Gaul told KCAU 9 that they were called to a grass fire in the 1700 block of Buchanan Avenue around 3:15 p.m. hour Thursday. The fire later changed to a structure fire. Upon arrival, fire fighters found the grass fire had spread to a collapsed garage and camper.

This new development has many farmers worried going into the planting season. Last year, U.S. agricultural exports totaled $175 billion, with China being one of the largest trading partners for goods. That relationship is currently in limbo.
