D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - 58,281. That’s how many names are engraved on the granite slabs that make up ‘The Wall That Heals.’Each name is a United States soldier killed in the Vietnam War. While many died, some lived on to share their stories. Veterans from the Armed Forces Retirement Home visited the monument Friday afternoon, allowing them to pay respects to the fallen heroes. Some of them, like Marine veteran Harold Mowry, have personal connections to names on the wall.

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - It has been 10 months since the Biloxi City Council approved the TIF plan for the Tomaston Medical Park. Now, the project developers say they are just a few weeks away from getting started. “In case of an emergency, off I-10 or in this area, people will have immediate access,” said Dr. Samir Tomajain, one of the developers for the facility.

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Biloxi City Council voted 4-3 in favor of moving a proposed event’s date up a week to allow police extra time between it and Scrapin’ the Coast. The council deliberated for an hour and a half on the Bikin’ the Beach event, a proposed event that could bring bikers and motorcyclists from across the nation to the Gulf Coast. Some council members were concerned with the city police department’s busy schedule around the originally proposed date and lack of manpower.
