ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — After a fire at the state-of-the-art veterans home in Enterprise displaced close to 100 veterans, a nursing home has welcomed them in with open arms. But loved ones of vets say the new change may take some time to get used to. The residents of the Benny G. Adkins Veterans Home were sent to the Enterprise Rehabilitation Center to live temporarily after an attic fire this week at the facility, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A trial date has been set for a Georgia man accused of shooting a Dothan native in his sleep. Solomon Cooper was set to go before Judge Steensland today for a status hearing, a procedural hearing to make sure the defense and prosecution are on track for trial, on Wednesday. This hearing was continued until June, due to one of Cooper’s attorneys having a recent incident. However, sources close to the case told WDHN that Cooper’s trial was set for September.

ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — An Enterprise boutique is closed right before busy season after a car crashed through the front of the store in the early morning. The crash occurred around 2:00 a.m., taking out the front portion of Hello Beautiful Boutique. Fortunately, no one was in the store or injured at the time of the crash.
