    WATERTOWN -- The City of Watertown's Emmet Utility Extension Design Contract was awarded to Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. of Delafield for $64,800 by the Public Works Commission on Wednesday. Connecting to the city's municipal water and sanitary sewers was identified when this land was annexed to the City in September via a Common Council ordinance. It was previously part of the town of Emmet. The agreement called for four mandatory boundary adjustments.

    WATERTOWN -- As the Wastewater Treatment Plant has been managing ongoing issues with clogged waste-activated sludge lines for the last several years, the City's Public Works Commission approved the purchase of a Sewer-747-FR2000 Eco Trailer Jetter from Brown Equipment Company for $103,055.64 during Wednesday's meeting. With limited access points for cleaning, these lines are six inches in diameter and span over 900 feet in length.
