538
538, which was previously known as FiveThirtyEight, is an American website that specializes in analyzing opinion polls, as well as covering topics related to politics, economics, and sports. In 2023, founder Nate Silver departed, taking his forecasting model to his new platform, Silver Bulletin. Following this change, Disney, the new owner of 538, brought in G. Elliott Morris to create a new forecasting model. On September 18, 2023, the original domain fivethirtyeight.com was shut down, and visitors were redirected to ABC News. Additionally, the branding was updated, with the site now operating under the name 538 instead of FiveThirtyEight.
