    ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A preliminary report released Wednesday on the deadly plane crash in Nanwalek last month confirmed that a loose dog likely contributed to the demise of the Cessna 207 that was carrying three people. The crash killed 48-year-old pilot Daniel Bunker of Homer and 37-year-old Jenny Irene Miller of Anchorage. A second passenger, who has not yet been publicly identified, was hospitalized in Anchorage with serious injuries, authorities said.

    SEWARD, Alaska (KTUU) - A young female sea otter pup was rescued from a beach in Homer by the Alaska SeaLife Center Wildlife Response volunteers. The little one was found alone, dehydrated, and malnourished, and she is believed to be around 2 months old. The veterinary team also found a suspected injury to one of her front paws.

    KEITHVILLE, La. (KSLA/Gray News) – The mother of a 2-year-old girl who was killed in a murder-suicide that left three others dead is at a loss for why it happened. Kara Hanning, the mom of 2-year-old Adalynn Mae Sadler, said she wouldn’t wish this tragedy on anybody. On May 5, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office was called out to a home in Keithville, Louisiana, to do a welfare check. When deputies got there, they said Adalynn’s grandfather, 60-year-old Leroy Sadler, refused to communicate with them.
