“Fuck Donald Trump! Fuck Elon Musk! Fuck Zuckerberg! Fuck big tech!” These cries, led by a group of protestors and supportive passersby, rang across Wilson Quad on the afternoon of Thursday Jan. 23. Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) held the rally to protest the incoming Trump administration. Held in the days following President Trump’s inauguration, the rally featured a combination of prepared speeches, calls to action, an open forum, and chanting.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, the Professional Women’s Hockey League kicked off their second annual season. The Toronto Scepters’ season began on an exciting note with a 3-1 win over the Boston Fleet. Nov. 30 also marked the first time I actually paid enough attention to know when a sports season started. I’ve never really been someone who enjoys or even understands sports. At least, not until I attended my first PWHL hockey game.

It was funny at first, but now it’s ruining my life. Pants. What are they? The woven mittens we wear on our legs. I’m personally a big fan. Or, at least, I was. Someone — or a group of someones, for all I know — have been pulling various pants-related pranks on me. It started off with small things. One morning, the cuffs of my pants were slightly shorter, almost imperceptibly so.

Nora Rubel, Chair of the Department of Religion and Classics and Professor in Jewish Studies, was born in Italy to Holocaust survivors. She is the daughter of an Italian-born father with Polish and German ancestry and an Israeli mother whose family settled in Tel Aviv in the early 20th century. As a self-proclaimed, “military brat,” her childhood encompassed frequent relocation due to her father’s military service to areas where she and her sister would often be the only Jews around.

2024 is at its end — at least, in terms of new music. While there might be some December albums worth checking out, the final months are usually pretty dry in terms of music releases due to the holiday season’s monopolization of the radio. It’s been an amazing year for music — some of my favorite albums of the decade came out, pop music thrived, as did rap, metal, and overall there were pretty much great albums coming out consistently every week.

2024 was a remarkable year for music, but it was not without its stinkers. Although incredible music is released every year, so is an abundance of terrible music. Such is the way of life. The yin to every music lover’s yang. Now, I want to preface that if you like any of the albums on this list, more power to you. Differences in opinion are fine. That said, I think all of these albums are truly terrible and I don’t understand WHY anyone would like them.
