    Collingwood Fire Department put the fire out quickly, keeping it contained to a garage Collingwood Firefighters were called to a Katherine Street home for a garage fire on June 22 in the evening. Fire crews were called out around 7:30 p.m. and had hoses running as soon as the first truck arrived. Collingwood Fire Department confirmed the fire was contained to the garage where it damaged some of the contents inside. The fire was out quickly.

    There is a lot going on in Craigleith these days. On June 19, a crowd of close to 60 people heard about upcoming town projects in Craigleith at an open house hosted by the Craigleith Working Group. Formed in 2023, the working group is a town-endorsed group that is focused on Craigleith-related issues. Stephen Granger is the chair of the group and he acted as the host of the open house.

    A childhood racing the local ski hills and careening down the Pretty River Valley on a mountain bike led Devon Clarke to the top of the podium again as Canada's elite gravel cycling champion. Clarke is back home in Collingwood, working and training in her cycling studio at Chalk's Training, after winning the 2025 Ghost of the Gravel race on June 15 in Water Valley, Alberta, which doubled as this year's Canadian Gravel Championships. Clarke is the elite women's winner for this year.

The issue: how to dispose of a 50-year-old ice resurfacer that has been in operation at the Rocklyn Arena since 1978, Members of council were flooded with nostalgia when discussing the veteran machine that has been in service in Rocklyn for many years.
