Xfinity race at Rockingham TV Ratings

The CW announced that it had 1,053,000 total viewers for Saturday’s Xfinity Series return race at Rockingham Speedway. It was the second highest watched Xfinity race at Rockingham ever for total viewers. Compared to the 10th race of last year’s Xfinity Series schedule at Dover Motor Speedway, viewership increased by 19%. This is the first time in eight years that each of the opening 10 Xfinity races to a season have cracked 1 million viewers.

Update: Richard Childress Racing stated on Monday morning that it will appeal NASCAR’s decision to disqualify the No. 2 team from winning on Saturday at Rockingham. Jesse Love’s victory was disqualified for violating rule 14.14.2.I-5.H (all mating surfaces between the truck trailing arm and the U-bolt saddle must be in complete contact with each other). Sammy Smith was deemed the winner.

NASCAR today announced the 15 nominees for the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026 and the five nominees for the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. Kurt Busch, the 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion, joins the Modern Era ballot for the first time, alongside Randy LaJoie, a two-time champion in what is now known as the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
