WYPR-FM (Baltimore, MD)

WYPR is a public radio station that caters to the Baltimore, Maryland metropolitan area. It broadcasts at 88.1 MHz on the FM band. The station's studio is located in the Charles Village neighborhood in northern Baltimore, while its transmitter is situated to the west in Park Heights. Additionally, WYPR is simulcast in the Frederick and Hagerstown regions on WYPF (88.1 FM) and in Ocean City on WYPO (106.9 FM). Interestingly, the two stations broadcasting on 88.1 are not in sync; WYPF's audio is about half a second behind that of WYPR, which can make listening difficult in certain parts of Howard and Carroll counties.

Baltimore County Inspector General Kelly Madigan said the county attorney should offer guidance on whether County Executive Kathy Klausmeier can reappoint her. This comes following Klausmeier’s decision to not reappoint Madigan to a second term. In an interview on WYPR’s Midday on Friday, Madigan took issue with Klausmeier’s reading of the county code that she can’t be reappointed and instead it must be opened up to other applicants.
